Very interesting layout. each hole is distinct and different from the others. We played the combo tees which were a good challenge for handicaps above 7 which most of us were. Fairways were wide enough but you paid the price for errant shots. Look forward to playing the course again.

Great course but can be very hot in the summer. Was 103 when we played.

The class of the Gold Country. No bad holes and many memorable ones. Overall, one of the best public-access courses in California.

Was a nice place. The greens were a little beat up, but still very playable. Some nice difficult holes. The pro shot manager chased down our group in the middle of our round and told us that one of us had not paid. Of course, we all had paid. Two with cash, and two with credit cards. We came to the conclusion that the girl who took our money in the pro shop pocketed the cash, as receipts were not given to either player who paid in cash. Crazy. The guy came to us three different times during the round!!

Great lay-out. Course condition was not as good as previous players had me expecting. I would like to play it again, it is a challenging but fair course. I liked that there were no tricked-out holes.

A very challenging course; no hole is the same as another. Accurate shot-making a necessity. My only negative comment is the lack of proper drainage in some fairway areas, otherwise a great course to play.

Great course out in the Sierra foothills. A true test of golf that will make you use all of your clubs. Definitely worth the drive.

The staff is really accomodating. The bungalows were great accomodations and the food at the restaurant was very good. Only minor negative was the hours for breakfast. The restaurant doesn't open before 7 AM so an early tee time will not work unless you skip breakfast.

I play in an annual tournament at Saddle Creek, this was our 8th year. The course, facilities, and staff are awesome. I recommend a stay and play weekend. Great facilities and course.

Except for the fact that this course is a long way from anything, it is an absolute gem--one of the best I've played. The staff are extremely accommodating; this time (I play every year when I travel to Northern California) I was able to play first out in the morning as a single to fit into my schedule. Holes are varied and interesting; conditions are great; layout is imaginative; course is hard but fair. What's not to like! Any serious golfer who gets close to Copperopolis and fails to play Saddle Creek has made a big mistake.
